The love of God is what it's about

The sun peeks through the sky above:
Whispering secrets, whispering love.
All the world, is still fast asleep:
Only the crickets and possums creep

The wind is sounding so softly today.
Nothing tumultuous is on the way...
Birds are waiting for greater light
To sing their songs of happy sight

Calmness is echoing throughout the land.
Nothing noisy is taking a stand.
Only a screen , of morning fog,
Makes an appearance and makes this blog.

The leaves on trees,that stand around;
Are starting to shake and touch the ground.
Feathery creatures are readying to sing:
Chirping commences and the elements ring.

The songs of morning,  that sound outside
Are inviting us all to consider inside:
The beauties, the wonders, the love of God;
That blesses each moment and path we trod

If we have profited from this scene,
Of morning soliloquies, so serene:
We should want to dance and shout
"The love of God is what it's about"

  1. I enjoyed reading your poem. Well done. Good rhymes. I enjoy the early mornings walking my pet dog, Sadie. We often see the sunrise and birds chirping away at play.

    Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
